He looked at her, but did not smile. He had not smiled since his mate, Ginger, died a long time ago. "Come, wer goig ba to cap" he said, holding up his basket.

(that says "Come, we're going back to camp")

Arya walked over as she saw Mason coming back to camp. She helped him arrange the stuff he brought back into piles.

Mason seperated the piles into what they would save for BarrenTime, and what they would eat now. "Thank you Arya." He said. "How is your mother?"

Ella watches carefully. "How do we know what to eat when?" She asked.

 

[jallny]

"You should always eat bugs fresh. Berries and leaves, if preserved right, are good to save for BarrenTime." Mason said finishing. "You've done well, for your first lesson." He added. "You should always have Elders, the heads, medicine chickens, and Heirs fed first." he picked up a few bugs and gave them to her. "Bring these to Heather. She needs them."

"Mmkay." She said with the bugs in her mouth. She ran over to heather, and dropped the bugs in front of her, making sure to corral the ones that tried to escape. "Here you go. They're bugs." She smiled, feeling smart because she knew that they were bugs.

"Thank you" Heather said in a raspy voice. She sneezed. "I am feeling a little under the weather, so i suggest not standing too close."

Ella really didn't care about germs, so she walked up to Heather and cuddled up as a type of hug. "I hope you feel better." She said, then walking back to Mason.

Mason was roosting, while finishing a bug. "Its getting late. Eat then sleep." he said.

"Okay." She replied. She ate a bug, then flew up and roosted next to Mason. She fell asleep and dreamed about how she wanted to be as smart as Mason.
