"You are leaving." Heather said sadly. "You must know, you can never come back to the flock. You cannot mate with any one in the flock. You cannot gather or work for the flock. Are you prepared for these?" she asked sternly. Only once in her time as a leader did some one leave the flock for humans.

Pharaoh stepped back. He thought of Daisy. He thought of all his friends. Then he thought of Gabby. "Yes." He finally said after a long pause. His whole world crashed down on him on that moment, and the second he said it, he was miserable. Pharaoh, think of... DAISY. YOU JUST LET HER DOWN. His mind screamed at him, and he stepped back, looking around. "I just want to say goodbye to Daisy." He said. "May I?"

(Well, that's sad..)

Tena crawled from underneath Daisy "Momma! The Egg!" she smiled happily and went to the Egg.

"You are not leaving let." Heather told him, her eyes sad and hurt. "You will wait until tomorrow" she said, her voice cracking. "Now go to sleep"

(Well, that's sad..)

Tena crawled from underneath Daisy "Momma! The Egg!" she smiled happily and went to the Egg.

The chick was now out, but it was small and it was curled up under the warmth of Daisy. "It hatched darling" she told her.

"Okay." Pharaoh said. He slowly walked over to Daisy to say goodbye before he went to sleep. "Daisy, I'm leaving." He said. "I'll miss you."

Daisy's eyes clouded with tears. "What?" she said. "Why?"

"I... met a human who loved me. She loved me very much." He said. "I was torn between staying and going, but.. there's just something about her. It reminds me of my old owner, who I loved." He said, sitting down.

Daisy looked hurt. "A human? That is why you leave us?" she said, though her voice was not angry nut more pained and sad.

"Yes. It is. I was completely torn; I wanted to stay with yo- er, with the flock, but I love her too." He said, grabbing a worm and giving it to her.
