Mason looked up at the 3 of them. "Very good you guys!" he said, though he didnt smile. "You want to help separate?" he asked, mostly because it was a lot of work for just him.

"Sure! How are we seperating it?" she asked him, smiling. She so wanted him to smile. She loved it when others smile.

"Sure." Ella said. "Okay." Splash said, sitting down and watching.

Mason didnt smile, he just looked at the piles. "Any bugs go in the one we eat now" he said, gesturing to the pile next to the large hole. "Along with old leaves and berries. New leaves and berries go in the BarrenTime pile" he gestured to the very large pile in the hole. "We are rather low on what we are saving for BarrenTime, so make sure you put a lot in that pile. DIvinity's berries should go in that pile, but be sure to check"

"Ok," she said, putting bugs into the first pile. She also put a few berries into it, then the rest int othe BarrenTime pile.

Ella and Splash worked quickly together, sorting the berries and bugs.

Mason watched them also doing his own work. Soon, they were almost done.

Ella smiled and sang while she worked. Splash smiled at her, and started to hum along to her pretty song.

She finished seperating her berries and asked if she should get more.
