Not yet. I may next year. I had just acquired him a week before our last show. He's a really good boy too. Raised by his parents, which is something I really wanted in turkeys. They seem smarter when raised naturally. You should be! You are going something very right. Do you show him?
I have one hen for him. I do have someone who can hatch me out some poults come spring if something happens to one of them.Well..He is something special. I hope you purchased a few hens for him. That is so remarkable. Hard to find them so clean in color.
I would love to see a frontal of him and closeup of his head piece. It look nice and wide.
I'm just blown away and very honored that you would even fool with all my drivel! That you are doing all this work and even getting sponsor is just out of this world...I couldn't have done that for all the tea in China!I guess I just don't have the confidence that you have. My family thinks all this chicken stuff is a big joke and when I talk about it at all they kind of make fun of me...even the Bat.![]()
To them, chickens just ain't no thang and they can't believe that there are so many people into learning about raising them. Around here chickens are just like the scenery...something you just take for granted and you don't think about much. They eat eggs and chicken but they don't talk about them or write about them~ barely ever think about them.
Yay Bee and Bulldogma for the joint effort! Getting the word out to folks who need to know is the whole point of the internet (in my opinion)!
My people think I am nuts for being so chicken-obsessed. so it's nice to be among old fashioned chicken people, and have all this wisdom in a few easy-to-use places!
Thank you both for your efforts!!!
I signed up & bookmarked -doing a great job ,u should be a ghost writer for Bee's book
I publish under anonymous too. Those little tests are hard to read!! I'm wondering if publishing under anonymous would have any impact on the decision of a potential sonsor.
Know what really helps with acne? Emu Oil. It also clears up those little bumps on your arms.. They look like ingrown hairs, and I have them quite bad. It really helped. It's 100% natural emu oil.

The girls really love that wood ash I added to their dirt bath.![]()

Though most still like to dust bathe in the DL.
Go for itYou have great stuff to share, Bee, and more people need to benefit from it. Now be a good big sister and quit making my face turn red - LOL! I feel honored to be the one to "fool with your (fantastic) drivel."
*blush* It's a pleasure. Truly!
The neat thing about this blog is it is allowing me to do all the organizing and editing and at the same time I'm able to share Bee's wisdom. Once I have put enough together, it will be easy for me to weave it into book form... so if anybody knows a publisher...![]()
I have a hard time reading those too! I only keep them there to prevent computerized spam. Perhaps I'll take that off for a little while and see how it goes. As far as posting under Anonymous, it can actually be a good thing... it makes it look like more people are reading. If the same people are the ones posting comments over and over, vs. what looks like all different people... well... that's not a bad thing in their eyes!
Someone also mentioned companies being able to see where sales traffic is coming from... unfortunately this is not necessarily the case here because the company that makes Nu-Stock only sells through distributors who don't necessarily report where the sales are generated from... though that gives me the idea to contact some distributors as well as manufacturers for sponsorship...![]()
Good info!
With your permission, I'd love to use these photos in future blog posts! These are great illustrations![]()
