The Road to Silkie Paradise!

I plan on updating often, all through my Silkie chickens lives!
Always, I have wanted to breed Silkie chickens, not for show, but show quality chickens for my own enjoyment and for others! I currently have 3 Hatchery hens, and a breeding quality black Silkie rooster.
2 weeks ago, I ordered 7 Silkie chicks from Bobbi Porto at Indigo Egg! All are 5 weeks old and are on the way will be on their way from Florida this week! There are 2 black, 2 splash, and 3 blue. This thread will mostly be about them as they are going to be the ones that I will use for breeding!

Update 1!
The 7 Silkies have shipped! They are shipping Priority Mail Express, and there are 11, not 7! Bobbi wrote saying that she had a second splash, but it turned out to be white, so she gave a white in its place and she also included 4 extra white chicks!
Now we will have 2 Black, 3 Blue, 1 Splash, and 5 White Chicks on the way to Southern Oregon all the way from Florida!

Update 2
Just finished setting up their new pen!

Also got news that their expected delivery is on Thursday by 3pm. But I called the post office and they said that they will call when they get there at about 5am and we can go get them then! Hang on for 36 hours chicks!

I have 1 blue out of a recent hatch of shipped egg's that is now 5 day's old, but I don't know what sex it is though.

Update
We decided to intercept the package to avoid the little guys from waiting overnight! Just got finished putting them in their pen. All are healthy and well! They are so cute and small! Smaller than I excepted them to be actually. The package they were shipped in was very high quality and well ventilated.

Silkies are really loving. Picture is of My Blue Silkie and her mix babies from the dad which is a frizzled cochin, but a rare one cause he didn't turn out frizzled.
