* You betcha!! When we were out of electric after the hurricanes and the tap was untouchable and before I figured out to use the water from the garden hose laying in the sun-- a HOT bath was what I missed most of all!!!!! I figured out that 9 days is about my limit. (Yeah, yeah-- I'm a . . . how do you spell "wouse" anyway??)

HA! The nicest thing happened to us during the start of our second week without power....my soon to be son in law came over with a cooler of ICE!!!

But yes, at the end of a long day, a hot shower sure is a nice thing.

We lived on our homestead for 18 months without running water while we saved money to have the well drilled. We had to haul in every drop of water for our household, our critters and the garden. We had a 250 gallon tank on the back of the truck that got filled 3-4 times a week at the least. You dont appreciate water til you have haul it all in order to have it thats for sure lol.

We had to heat water on the stove to take a sponge bath. I dont mind getting dirty (have you ever noticed that in order to get a critter clean you have to get real dirty lol?) but not being able to take a shower or a bath after getting dirty just about killed me! Sponge baths might get you mostly clean but you dont feel like it!

Now its not unsual for me to take a couple showers a day and ever single one still feels like a blessing a couple of years later lol! I will never take hot running water for granted again!

I said that i could do it again if i had to..my hubby says no way!

I'm gonna have to agree with hot water. You can feel pretty comfortable living just about anywhere if you're allowed a hot shower.
