Zack didn't want to move from his sisters side for an instant, but at the insistence of a police officer, he did so, gritting his teeth as the paramedics surrounded her. He backed away, and found himself close to Mark and Zuri, an odd empty feeling in his chest.

Then the police officer that had insisted he move away walked up, "Do you mind if I ask y'all a few questions?" The man asked the three, trying to be polite in light of the situation, but still wanting it get to the point.

Zuri looked away from Mark to the officer and said,"yeah sure."

Zack wasn't buying it, 'just a typical chance run in', Oh yeah, then you two just happened to find out that the other is a shifter, I bet Khlo didn't even have to shift her eyes color to let ya know. Bull, of course she did, and she just happened to get lucky. He thought with announce, but answered in a level tone, "Yeah, very typical." He looked back down to Khloe as she let out a low moan, and clenched his hand.

Zack looked up sharply as the girl with the paramedics and cops in toe came raising towards them.
"Yes, it's a harsh and cruel job, for only the cold at heart." Jayden answered playfully, then put his hands back on the handlebars as he swung off the bike and continued walking alongside her, pushing the mountain bike along as they walked. He couldn't help but look as her long, brown hair blew in the breeze, but quickly stopped himself, looking ahead of them again with I slight smile. Skye was very pretty.

"So, you doing anything tonight?" Jay asked, not looking at her as he tried to keep his cool, but the unease he felt made his tone slightly higher than he would have liked. Should I have waited? I'm such an idiot! She most have been just humoring me, and now she's going to kick me to the curb. As usual... Though, she could like me, maybe... Na, what's the chance in that. He thought as his heart dropped to the pit of his stomach, expecting the reply that always came without fail.

((*gives puppy dog eyes* So... What will she say?))

Asher realised in an instant his very unthought out answer hadn't fooled Zack, being that he was rather used to the different tones people spoke to him in. He didn't give it a second thought though, shrugging it off as always. It hadn't been as If he and the other boy were going to get on in the first place- with their argument within the first minute of speaking to each other. "Yep," Ash answered with a small smirk that had a carefully placed hint of knowing in it- one that looked rather aggravating.

His attention was drawn away by the sudden appearance of the paramedics, police close behind. A silent sigh of relief he didn't know had been held within him escaped at the sight of them, and he stood, moving back a step to make way

((I'm kinda confused as to what I do with him now...))

The small street Skye had planned to turn down in order to get to the trees was not very far ahead by now, and frustration was beginning to build up. I'm never gonna lose him now. She thought with a side glance at Jay when he hopped off his bike. "Yep. It's a wonder most of them are still around," She said with a small grin at the thought. What a perfect world it would be.

All sense of humor faded at Jayden's rather out of the blue question- alarm bells ringing in her mind, though she couldn't quite understand them. "I don't think so," She said in a normal tone, with her next question giving a mild sense of suspicion at the slightly slower way it was uttered. "Why?"
Skye also looked ahead, but couldn't help sending a glance in his direction again to try read his expression- a very slight frown of confusion in her own.

((Has anyone noticed that the two 'Skye's' are also both foxes? :/ ))

"That's what I was told, I wasn't here when it happened." Zack replied in the same flat tone, clenching his fists as the paramedics lifted Khlo on to the stretcher.

"Did either of you see what happened?" The cop questioned Mark and Zuri, jotting down a quick note on his note pad.
