Well, shoot. I was holding out hope because even though they both have similar comb and wattles, one of the them is a bit smaller and oranger and because the one with the oranger comb doesn't have as much white on him than the other one. Here are some pictures I just took today. I think it's time to accept the fact that both are roosters.
After showing today at fair I got red for my rooster, my 2 hens both got a blue, and I got reserve grand for showmanship
A big congrats on your wins. Hopefully Sarge and his girls will give you some winners too!
Congrats! Did you get any pictures?
Awesome. I'd love to see pictures if you have them.
4-month old pullet with reddish tint on side of legs - normal or a cause for concern?
I am a newbie chicken owner - my 4-month-old SLW developed a reddish tinge on the side of her legs a couple weeks ago - is this typical of developing maturity (her comb seems to be getting redder the last couple days) or something unusual? She has a web between her middle and outer toes which alters her stance, so I'm always a little worried about how that might affect her legs - she seems to spend more time sitting than the other 2 girls, but that was typical before the red appeared.
Thanks for any insights!
That's normal-hormone changes(testosterone increase).
Pictures on there way
