Well, shoot. I was holding out hope because even though they both have similar comb and wattles, one of the them is a bit smaller and oranger and because the one with the oranger comb doesn't have as much white on him than the other one. Here are some pictures I just took today. I think it's time to accept the fact that both are roosters. :(

4-month old pullet with reddish tint on side of legs - normal or a cause for concern?

Hi folks,

I am a newbie chicken owner - my 4-month-old SLW developed a reddish tinge on the side of her legs a couple weeks ago - is this typical of developing maturity (her comb seems to be getting redder the last couple days) or something unusual? She has a web between her middle and outer toes which alters her stance, so I'm always a little worried about how that might affect her legs - she seems to spend more time sitting than the other 2 girls, but that was typical before the red appeared.

That's normal-hormone changes(testosterone increase).
