Luna spotted a lake nearby. She flew close to the water, one of her front hooves dragging on the surface.

Firestorm looked up from grazing. As he watched Luna, a smile crept across his muzzle. It amazed him that he'd fallen in love with the beautiful, if creepy, mare.

Hurricane looked briefly at Twister, making sure the other mare wasn't paying attention, then looked at Eclipse. "It's because Cyclone's been mated."

Firestorm whinnied invitingly at Luna. He was trying to entice her to graze alongside him.

"Twister wants to bear foals very badly, so she won't take it well that Cyclone's been bred," Hurricane kept her voice at a whisper.
