Of course, I'm scared. You and your creepy, cold eyes. Who wouldn't be? Firestorm thought to himself. He sighed heavily, trying to relax.Luna stared at him for several seconds. Luna spun around in mid air. Wait? she thought to herself. Is he giving me a chance? The mare landed silently, folding her wings. "Yes?"
"I admit, I'm nervous." Firestorm took a few uneasy steps toward Luna. "I am willing to listen."Luna spun around in mid air. Wait? she thought to herself. Is he giving me a chance? The mare landed silently, folding her wings. "Yes?"

Luna sighed. "Alright. Years ago, when I was a small filly, my mother and I were grazing together. It was stormy that day. I don't know how it happened. Anyways, she ended up dieing because of a fire that had started by a bolt of lightning. She was so worried about me, that she lead me across the river instead of saving herself. I couldn't fly at the time. She was my father's favorite. In his grief, he banished me from the herd, nearly killing me as he did so," she explained, her eyes filling with pain and sorrow. "Something in me snapped that day. I just can't figure out what. I need someone to care for me. To love me again, like my mother did."
As Firestorm listened, his eyes softened. Luna's appearance terrified him, but if she meant him or Storm no harm, he was willing to try being that...someone. "If I said I could be that 'someone'," he ventured slowly, settling his wings at his sides. "would you give me the chance?"Luna sighed. "Alright.
