The smell is KILLING me

I know people use tomato products (sauce, ketchup, etc) to bathe for skunk odors, maybe for dead chicken odors too? I don't tihnk burying is an option anymore....

I've sent dead skunks out with the Thursday trash, in their own tightly wraped trash bag. Don't think the trash man knew it, either. Sent 8 freshly, mink, beheaded chickens without the bags, one day, too. Met the trash people to explain at the curb. Didn't want them to think they were sacrifices or something like that. Tim

When I was a kid my brother caught a blue fish (big fish, almost as tall as him, he was 14). My Father buried the head in the back yard. The dog dug it up. My father buried it again and the dog dug it up again. I think he ended up burning it. You want to talk about smell!! Pewwwww!

One of my dogs is a master skunk catcher. He has managed to catch a skunk several times now with out getting sprayed. That being said...His first time, he did get sprayed on his nose. It was the first and last time it happened.
Here is what a dog groomer told me to do after trying many products, including tomato juice. She told me to buy a vinegar and water douche. I looked at her funny when she said this, but it works! I keep them in a doggy first aid kit now. The smell went away immediatly.
She did explain to me once why tomato juice doesn't always work, but it was so long ago, I can't remember. So, try that because that's all I keep on hand now for bad smells that dogs tend to get in to. They have a knack for finding stuff like that.
