Lila wandered in and sat down.

Chris was sat in the place he always sat in, with a benevolent smile gracing his face as he looked at everyone sitting down. Lila, Mark, Alina... there were more to come, he knew. Tara and Calder had disappeared to goodness knows where. Millie had gone out - so had Matt and Lottie. And there was that girl Elsie, and whoever this newcomer was...

"Thanks," she said, doing her best not to blush a bit. "Whatever ya'll have been making must be delicious, it smells amazing in here!" Isabel closed her eyes, enjoying the wonderful smell of dinner that wafted through the air. Seeing the look on Chris' face, she introduced herself. "Hi," she said. "My name is Isabel, I'm a friend of your daughter."

Isabel walked over to the table. "Do you mind if I take a seat?" she said.

"Go ahead," Chris said with a smile. "Sit down and help yourself before it's all cold."

Alina pulled her red hair off her face and swiftly plaited it down one side, taking the seat next to her father.

Mark dug in. "Wow, this is delicious. Thanks Alina."

"Thank you all, more like. Tara and you did a ton to help me." Alina replied, evading the compliment neatly. "By the way, where is Tara?"
