The Society of Truth, an RP

She paused at the door and glanced back at him, she wanted him to reach out and grab ker arm, to stop her from leaving , to tell her he wanted to keep talking.
The truth was she liked him, a lot, a lot more than “friends” but she knew that chances were that if they ever did date when he looked at her he would see Michaela and she wouldn’t compete with that.

(No worries)
“Whatever I’m not getting anywhere with talking about ex’s” she said turning and walking towards the door,
His heart fell as she walked away from him. He bit his lip, his eyes cast down to hide the sprinkling of diamond-tears that edged his eyelashes.
She paused at the door and glanced back at him, she wanted him to reach out and grab ker arm, to stop her from leaving , to tell her he wanted to keep talking.
He heard her footsteps stop and glanced up. He met her eyes and for a long second wished she'd read in them what he was trying to say. But what was it his mother had once said? You can't be sure they understand until the words have escaped your lips. Eyes are deceitful things sometimes, son.

She had said that often - still did. He hadn't seen either of his parents in a while. The memories made those tears fall, and he quickly rose. "Tara," he said, in a voice that was urgent. He covered the carpet between them in two quick strides and stood close by. He reached out and touched the sleeve of her magenta-pink costume. "You never get to an understanding by walking out,"
The truth was she liked him, a lot, a lot more than “friends” but she knew that chances were that if they ever did date when he looked at her he would see Michaela and she wouldn’t compete with that.
In the long, long moments as he waited for her reply, his mind drifted back to when he'd told Michaela he cared for her. It was in this room. It had preceded a conversation longer and deeper than any he'd had previously.

His thoughts turned to more recent days. Eleven weeks and two days ago, to be exact. Michaela had been lying, in pain but alert, on the bed. She was out of the scope of his powers. He could only keep her pain down, but he did that gladly. She'd looked at him in that knowing way of hers, similar to the way Alina looked at him, and said, Don't let this ruin your life. I don't know what's ahead for me, but if I can I'll be watching you and Alina and Dad. And your Dad and Mum. And if there's ever someone else, I'll be with you at the wedding. And be watching if I can.

He had replied indignantly that that would never be the case. She had given him another knowing smile and had continued, Maybe. But for your sake, I really hope so. Don't look for another Michaela. Don't look at all if you don't want to. But when you find her, don't spend your hours comparing her to me. Let her reveal her own self.

At this point, he had laughed. He'd told her there was absolutely no way it was happening. She'd replied softly that, if that was the way it was when she'd gone, she'd be happier seeing him happy than avoiding people.

Michaela had been a very far seeing person. Calder wondered if maybe, just maybe, she was watching from somewhere. After all, hadn't Tara seen her ghost?

Oh yeah, Tara existed. He glanced back at her and waited silently for her reply.

I'll do empathy, wait what do I do if I have empathy?
It means you're sensitive to emotions.
She spotted Mark and released Matt’s hand before walking over “Mark, we need your help” she explained
"Okay, with what?" Mark asked.
( @Anne02 )

Matt walked briskly over to mark and stood beside him on the opposite side as lottie.
(So sorry, I really haven't had time to RP recently.)
"What? Am I in trouble or something?" Mark asked nervously.
