Sonya glanced to her father as he moved away from the monitors 'what is he up to?' she thought, then focused on the screen as she heard Eva call out '1' 

"2!" Eva yelled.

"2!" Eva yelled.

Sonya sent a quick, worried glance to her father, checking on his location, then started keying in a code she had created long ago for just such a time. She had always wanted the kids to be free and now they could be, or at least the ones that were awake.

Charles had decided this made for the perfect time to set his own plan into full motion. He waited for Sonya to finish keying in the sequence, then stepped up behind her an pushed a needle into her arm, grinning when she went limp. He looked to the monitors, making sure she had finished the sequence, then picked her up and carried her out of the room, chaos would rein soon and he had places to be.

"3!" Eva yelled. "Sonya?"

Jess was worried and she could hear a lot of commotion going on, "do i go?" she asked Eva and Gwen.

"Wintent, go" Gwen said

The lights went out and doors locked down, a stalling tactic for the guards. At the same time a fire alarm was tripped in another part of the lab, as far from the kids as Sonya could make it.Then another alarm tripped in the plant nursery that created fresh air and some of the food they used.


(Yeah, not like a normal building the elevator will still work.)

Charles looked up as the alarms started to sound. He left Sonya in the elevator he knew the kids would use and went to find Matthew to set off another part of his main plan.

jess stumbled forward looking for the vent, she could feel the air going out, and touched it. she crawled into it, her skinny body making it easy, her bat wings curled up against her back and she started to crawl.

"At once?" Eva asked.

"After we all get through the vent, yes" Gwen said and smiled.
