Me and my family are military, I'm retired wife trying to get there. We are new with the chicken life, learning a lot and fast. We have 5 out back in their pen and let them out daily to roam the back yard. One is over 18 months she was laying when we got her, Just picked up 4 more 60 days ago, (2 1 years old, and 2 5 months old). We also bought 5 on 7 Oct born 3 Oct in the garage. We take them out daily as for it is to cold here at night for them. We live in the southern part of Ga. I have 2 boys 6 & 7. One is a outdoors man and the other just enjoys the omelets we get from the chickens. Right now I am getting 2 eggs daily. Feed my outside girls layer, and throw them scratch about every other day. The chicks in the garage are on grower for the next 10 weeks.
