The starting numbers gamble

I understand that it is 50/50 over the long haul. But picking a few out of many you can end up with any ratio. My goal was to end up with 8 hens so I doubled that and added 1 for insurance. Luck gave me more than I needed and actually got 3 breeding groups instead of 2. I just thought it would be fun to compare actual numbers instead of statistical ones after all only a small percentage of people end up with 50/50.
