The Story of Lydia Walker
"What's wrong with her, Edward?" the weak but anxious mother said in a frustrated tone.
"Please don't go Father! We need you!" she buried her weeping face into his bed quilt.
"I tried Mother. But..." she couldn't bear to tell her. Sarah took her hand into hers. "I'm sorry." Was all the young girl could say.
She went back into her corner and sat down on a bench. She looked down at it and wiped the dust off. Seeing a piano in the middle of the attic, she walked over to it and began to play it. Lydia played and played, although it was old and dusty. And she played the last music she would ever hear.
