The story of my flock

Hi guys! So I have wanted to do this for a while now but now I am actually doing it. My chicken story lol! It started in January of this year, my dad and I were on a road trip and I kept bringing up animals I wanted. Finally I said what about chickens (not the first time I had asked) and he said sure! That was not the answer I had expected but I was so exited I didn't question it! lol! Right then and there I started looking for chicks but seeing as it was January the options were slim. I ended up waiting for spring, and my mom's friend offered to give us free fertilized eggs and an incubator. We got 5/8 chicks and once they hatched my parents brought me up to TSC and let me pick out 10 more. The only reason they did that was because we were told they probably would not all survive but sure enough we had 15 live heathy baby chicks. A couple weeks later we found out that 1/3 of the chickens were roos, so we got rid of 4 and I now have a flock of 10 hens and and one roo. I am currently trying to grow my flock (no one warned me about chicken math) because now I feel that I NEED some cool breeds and some that lay blue and green. I will probably keep adding to this as I get more chickens or I just want to post random pics of my babies.

my white leghorn hens lay eggs so big that they don't fit in the carton most of the time

They lay this color eggs.

Very nice color of brown each chicken lays a slightly different color.

see I would love that but my parents say I am filling up the backyard way too fast and chickens are all I can have rn

I also have a dog and a cat and apparently that's enough? lol

I want all of the animals

I also love ameraucana chickens mostly for the fuzzy face.
My eggs look like this.

They are a nice bluey / green color.
