I'm planning on building some stag pens soon to house the roosters I currently have that I don't want to breed. Just doing 2 for now to house Bruce and possibly Cassandra along with the chicks as a grow out pen. Then 2 more to further house the roosters since there's 5 of the new boys.
I'll post an update of pictures as we build them. It's just been so rainy and wet lately so I'm not sure how the wood swelling will effect the nailing.

Chick update! Got them moved outside last month. They're doing great!

I'm debating on color tagging them for easier naming and identification.

Since they hatched the first week of July I'm gonna give them patriotic names. I had people on Reddit give me names.

Still haven't finished the double coop.

They're doing great! I moved the two hens into the coop with Sampson's flock and moved Bruce out into our new shed.

Unfortunately one of the 5 new boys was injured over 2 months ago and still hasn't regained full strength in his legs. I'm treating him and this whole time he hasn't lost his appetite or acted very sickly aside from the first week when he was in some pain.

His brothers have turned out very sweet and handsome and are very meaty compared to my other boys. Carlos is the injured one. And the one with the most red in his feathers and the orange band is Firecracker.
