The Sullivan Six

The best part has been my family's reaction to seeing the first egg.

12yo: Mom, what's that grayish egg shaped thing on the stove?
Me: What do you think it is?
12yo: gasp!

15yo:what is he going on about in there?
Me: come with me. *walks into kitchen, gestures to egg*
15yo:*staring for about 30 seconds* gasp!

Husband: *milling around in kitchen looking for a snack* gasp! We have an egg! Who?

Finally got the last of the hardware cloth up on the run! Now the coop and run are complete, it's time for some lounging with the chickens.

Husband said we got another olive egg.🤔 I was pretty sure Limu was the one laying since she'sthe only one who's supposed to lay green eggs, but maybe Bibu is my layer and actually lays a green egg?

I would be the wrong person to know the right answer on this. My chickens rarely follow the expected "rules."

My Olive Egger is one of the very small percentage that DON'T lay olive-colored eggs. Only one of my Easter Eggers lays a green egg; the other girl lays a very normal beige egg. And, for good measure, one of my two Ameraucana chicks won't be laying any blue eggs; turns out, it's a rooster!

On a related note, neither of my Sapphire Splashes is remotely splashy; both grew up pure white. With my luck, I'm sure I won't be playing the lottery :)

Hope you figure out who's doing what soon!
