The Sun Room

This is the "sunroom" we made built off the chicken house. Made of all recycled windows.
Inside there is a perch. During the winter months, we will close of the opening at the front and open the window. That way the heat is kept in better. And the hens can access the room through the window. During sunny days (not this one) the hens enjoy sunbathing during the cold hours of the day!

Ventilation to let excess heat out?

I know my greenhouse on a 30°F sunny day is nearly 90°F inside even with a vent open.

Ya since the door of the chicken house is right there. And since the room is not very airtight the air should circulate fine.
Will find out though

I think it looks awesome.

I am a bit worried that it isn't steep enough to shed snow quickly... worried it might bust under a heavy wet snow...

And I would pop out one of the side windows for ventilation.

Probably won't shed well(if at all), doubt they'd bust, but...
...would be best to keep it pretty clear of snow.

If it does shed....the ground will be saturated....it will likely get very humid inside too.
