This little bity just hatched last night. Momma Hen just about killed me while I was trying to get a picture. The hen is still sitting on two more eggs but I doubt that they will hatch. I think it is a silkie....

Oh Leslie, those grandbabies are just the cutest. I do have to say that that black one in the next to the last pic might be a mix. I try to keep my eggs separate but sometimes my kids gather the eggs and put one in the wrong carton. We will see as it grows but looks like a reg. comb. If so it is half silkie and half bantam salmon faverolle. Sorry about that. But hey, a great hatch either way right? Very nice vault on a couple it looks like too. Bless little silkies, they are the cutest.
