One broke a tiny hole in the shell yesterday morning, but it has made 0 progress, so I don't think it is going to make it..... other than that, I can't tell.
I'll let you know at the final count
I have 7 chicks out of 8 eggs. The eggs said cochin but I think they must be mixed with silkie. Some have 5 toes. But very cute. Here are a couple pics. I posted more under a separate thread.
I opened the bator tonight and found three big fluffy little Texans looking up at me. Their little sister has the egg pipped and they are coaching the unpipped ones!
I had an early surprise pip Friday nite from my 35 day swap eggs...muscovies perhaps??
It pipped 3 days early so I was pretty surprised when I moved them into the hatcher and saw the pip! The little fella popped out this morning...he seems pretty exhausted but he's moving around a little more now. Not sure what caused him to pip & hatch early? I'm really hoping he hangs in there and stays with me.
Now the rest are due tomorrow so I'm just hoping they all come out healthy and frisky!!
This is my first duck hatch so I'm a little unsure of how it's all suppose to go..it's like my first chick hatch..watching the bator NONSTOP LOL
