Well, I received chicken eggs and 3 duck eggs and all the duck eggs are progressing but unfortunately,none of Willows chicken eggs did. I feel awful knowing what happened to her flock. I was so hoping that they would make it. Not sure what happened. The PO or me. But I am sure it was not her fault. Sorry Willow. I tried.

sara'a sister here still i was thinking about jumping in and heading up the june swap... but i had a couple of things i wanted to check on... why is it that all eggs have to be shipped out by the 30th or so??? it would seem logical to me that if you join into the swap..you would need to be prepared to have the eggs sooner than that... if all the info is posted like say the 12th of the month, why no say the eggs need to be out by the 20th that is plenty of time to collect a 1/2 doz eggs...also that way it should work out that by the following months swap all of the past swap should be hatched??? 2) we need some sort of guarentee that people are commited to this... it sux for people who are who get matched up to people who are not. 3) should it not be a secret swap anymore, only to the point that only one person is in charge of what you get...would it suit everyone better if after the swap has commenced that the header post everything right away??? let me know what you people think!!

Hi Siz's Sister...I already started up the June swap a few days back & it is ending on the 8th. We've addressed most everything you wrote about. I believe everyone got their eggs in the end and no one has *not* from the past swaps.

Tomorrow is day 21 for my eggs. The first one has pipped. I can hear the chick peeping inside the egg.

scgamecock: 2 chicks hatched this morning and another piped. one chick has feathered legs and feet and the other is really, really big!

Today is day 16 on my muscovy eggs and they are still living. I have not killed them. I have never hatched any kind of waterfowl. Will keep you posted Willow. Thanks.

Today is day 11 for my swap eggs from Alaskanhenhouse and I have 11 eggs that look like they are developing. I tossed one today, because it wasn't doing anything. Ten more days to go. Waiting is the hardest part...lol

that's great Dorothy. i too candled mine today. most are doing well but did have to toss 5, that leaves me with 7 more chances. i'm happy with any little duckies!!!
