So anyway, I get a couple order forms from the local feed store so I can get a few new chicks to replace my aging flock.
Ok, let's start with a few barred rocks, cause they're good all around birds.
Oh, Buff Orpingtons are really fine looking birds, so get a few.
So and So said golden comets are phenomenal egg layers, so let's get a couple of those.
I really like the looks of silver laced wyandottes, so add a couple of them.
Geez, the Austrolorps are the egg champs in the coop right now, so make sure you get a few of those.
Let's get a few white rocks, just for maybe meat. Jersey Giants, too.
Every flock HAS to have a New Hampshire or two, as well as Rhode Islands.
And last but not least, you gotta love those blue and green eggs, so add a few Americaunas.
Ok, now let's go place the order. 50??? 50!!! We can't get 50!!! Where are we gonna put them!!??
I have housing for 2 dozen. I guess I gotta get busy........
