Well if you are worried about loudness they will all be loud at times I have had all 3 breeds... They all were loud when they wanted to. There was none louder or quieter than the other. Just my personal experience..

I have mallards, Welsh Harlequins, and Cayugas. They're all fairly quiet now, maybe it's the time of the year. But if you want the least noisy breed, go for the Cayuga. I hardly ever hear a peep out of them even when the others are talkative. Plus they're beautiful!

How loud are drakes? If you can describe it please do...I have neighbors that can't really know I have ducks...they aren't outside often but the quacking is a give away...is it loud enough to hear from outside a house?

Drakes are quiet.
do you mean a majority of the time or always just quiet. I don't care about sounds that can't be heard outside but I want to make sure of this before I go get them.
