I dont even know :p
My EE (the first ever chicken i got/hatched) lays 2 jade-greenish eggs a day has this ever happend to you or why is she doing this and im 100% sure beacuase shes the only green egg layer in my flock..

It takes 25 hours to form and egg...if you get 2 in one day from a single bird, chances are that one was laid during the night and the other late afternoon and you found them in the evening.

Not necessarily so. I have a BSL who laid 3 eggs in a 24 hour period, 2 of which I witnessed were laid about 5 minutes apart. This can happen when a pullet is just getting her system geared up. So, though the text books state that it takes 25 hours, and I agree, that's the norm, some pullets don't abide by the books.

I'm sure it can happen as a glitch, just like shell-less eggs, double yolks, etc. I'd be worried if the bird continued to do it, seems she'd be at risk for reproductive issues. And they couldn't do it day after day, that's for sure.
