It seems as though one of my ducks is trying to possibly "hump" people's legs and trying to "hump" my dog (lab jack russel mix) as well. It doesn't happen too often but it does sometimes. Do ducks even do things like that? It's really only one that does it does that mean it is a boy? Haha solo many questions! Has anyone else seen their ducks doing that??

Tell me about the dynamics here, how many ducks.. males, females? ages, breed... i personally have not, drakes will go after other animals sometimes out of aggression and/or mating if they lack females.

Going Quackers, I have 2 two month old Khaki Campbells. As of right now we are unsure of the sex of each bird I bought them at Tractor Supply and they told us the ducks were "unsexed" they also said the ducks were "about" one week old when I got them so there's that. Only one of my ducks acts this way, it's a bit bigger than the other but it could just be a little bit older, and the smaller duck likes to follow it around. I do not think it is acting out of aggression because it does not do that often. It's like the duck is just playing.

At two months old you should be able to tell sex by voice. Do either of them quack or honk loudly? Does either have a raspy voice or sound like it has a frog in its throat? Quack/honk=girl raspy/frog=boy

I think one beginning to try to quack and the other does sound sort of raspy. One is louder than the other

I have two 6 month old Pekin Drakes. Very hard to tell their sex until 3-4 mos. old. Spoiled was thought to be a girl because he was smaller than Rotten. Lol. Now I have two teenage boys that undoubtably try to mate with each other...climbing on each other in the pool holding each other's heads under water. I've noticed they also like to squeeze palms, fingers, and "get down" with me making weird noises.... LOL. BOYS!!! I need a girl Pekin!! FAST

You really need at least 5-6 if you're going to keep both drakes. If you buy only one, the two drakes will probably end up overbreeding and injuring or killing her.

Or you could just have a male flock :) I believe I'm about to be in your shoes soon but I want eggs.

Hi everyone! It's Spoiled & Rottens Mom again.... Now 1 year old Pekin drakes, I've encountered another problem. Spoiled has taken to pinching my feet and hands. They are very aggressive in their pond and every time they see me they fly up to me (or run) and try to hold the inside of my palm, and do a " duck wiggle" to the ground. I've got blood blisters to prove it. Anyone else having " boy issues"?
