Katrina followed. Despite being just a servant, Katrina often talked to Jenel as an equal. "Miss Jenel, why on earth do you think running away will solve your problems?!" She whispered loudly.

Maud finished tying the many laces on the gown. "There, you look lovely," she said as she sifted through the bottles of perfumes and such on the table.

Linnet paled as she suddenly remembered something. Dropping the pear and scone, she hurried upstairs to her bedroom. She frantically dug through her nightstand drawer. Not finding what she was searching for, she went to her writing desk and dug through it. In her haste she had left the door wide open.

Fawn wiped her mouth with her napkin, then hurriedly left the servant's dining room. She lay down under her favorite tree and fell asleep.

Mariah sighed. "No." She replied irritably. "I'm writing the invitation for Princess Gwen," she said. She put her quill back in its holder and stood up. She sealed the letter with Audric's wax seal.

"Are you very busy today?" Edwin finally asked, looking up at Alena.

Edmund saddled his horse and headed for Alnwick castle. There was a cool breeze in the air which excited both him and his horse. He had his sword at his side.

Richard was in the paddock practicing jousting at a stuffed potato sack. He rode back and forth hitting it correctly each time. Finally the potato sack dummy fell down. Rather than picking it up and continuing, Richard dismounted and went over to the water trough for his horse.

Gwen gave her a polite smiled. "Thank you Maud." She quickly slipped on her slippers, and bounced down the hall, stopping suddenly when she saw linnets open door. "Linnet?"

Audric nodded. "Well then, I will be on my way then." He gave her a quick kiss on the cheek, and started away.

Alena looked at her hand. "Yes. I have some..uh...servant stuff to do.

Alena quickly stood and scurried across the room.

Kat limped towards the practice field where Richard had just disarmed a dummy.

"Hello might you be up to a quick joust?," Edmund asked.
"Maybe. You are?" Richard asked.
"Oh, I'm Sir Edmund. I live over yonder at the closest castle," he explained.
Richard nodded.

A messenger rode into Alnwick countyard. He saw Kat. "I have a letter for Princess Gwen. Might you know her whereabouts?" He asked

Katrina looked at her shoes. "You are correct. I can't understand but you don't understand how very fortunate you are. So many people would immediately trade positions wth you," she said. "If you are indeed going to run, and no amount of convincing will you turn you back, I suppose I must go with you. As your maid, I'll follow you wherever you wish. As your friend, I at least advise you to be as cautious as possible for the next few days," she said.
