Edmund looked Gwen in the eye. "Run away–with me." He was completely serious.

Fawn took this opportunity to descend from the tree and leave. She didn't hear what Edmund was saying
---
Linnet suddenly felt so stupid. Speechless, she turned and hugged Peter.
---
Katrina went back up the ladder to the loft. She dug through her bag till she produced a small bag of money.

Gwen looked up, shocked. "Wait what? Edmund, I could never do that to you. I mean...what if my father found out I was with you...."

Peter slowly wrapped his arms around her. "It's alright, I should have mentioned her before."

Edmund crossed his arms. "Gwen, what is there for you here?" He asked
--
Linnet hugged Peter tighter. "Yes, you should of," she whispered.

Katrina counted the coins slowly.

Katrina counted the coins slowly.

"Hmm. The pastries." Gwen joked, but soon returned to the seriousness of the conversation. "You're right, there is nothing for me here."

Peter laid his head on hers. "I'm sorry."

Edmund grabbed Gwen's hand. "You know, ever since I first saw y–" a horse whinnied in the distance.

Edwin shaded his eyes against the late morning sun. He saw two figures in the distance.

Linnet nodded, but didn't say anything.

Maud made the bed in Linnet's room and Gwen's room. She tidied up the rooms, then went to check on Adrienne.

Adrienne sighed and undid Calder's tail, looking back to her book and trying to copy the picture "Oh never mind" She sighed, laying down and putting the rooster in her lap "Hey, we should go ride my pony!" She perked up "Maud!" She called "I wanna ride my pony!" She waited patiently for a response.

Maud entered. "What on earth is it, child, that's got you in such a tizzy?" She demanded. She looked at the pretty little lass stretched out on her bed and the elegant rooster patiently withstanding the girl's dress up.

"I wanna find Gwen" Adrienne announced "Why didn't she tell me about last night? Why didn't she tell us where she was going?" She sat up and set Calder down beside her "I won't go far, if she's not close to the castle I'll come right back" She stared at Maude with big eyes.

Gwen jumped at the sound of the neigh, quickly stepping away from Edmund.

Peter sighed and pulled away. "Are you alright?"

Maud smiled. "Very well then. I'll tell stable lad to saddle your pony," she said sweetly. "Meanwhile, you put on your riding dress, ye hear me? We twouldn't want you getting those frills dirty, now would we."
---
Edmund pulled Gwen down into the shrubbery. "Who's there?" He asked her, a mischievous smiled on his face.

Edwin slowed his horse. Maybe he was just imagining things, but he really thought he saw two people.
---
Linnet wiped a tear. "Yes, I'm fine now," she said.
