*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

"Oh. You know. A little bit of archery her. A little bit of waiting for your royal lazyness there." He said cheerfully. "Where have you been?" He eyed Alena suspiciously.

"Um, well, I went to the kitchens and grabbed something to eat, examined my new horse, went walking, now I'm going hawking," he replied. "Oh! This is Alena, my, um companion!," he said quickly. "She came with me because, well, um, father didn't want me going hawking by myself. The dangers, you know, with assassins and angry peasants nowadays," he lied.

Alena giggled.
-------
Peter thought for a moment, and then laughed. "Oh yes. We are in grave danger, behind the mountainous walls." He replied sarcastically.

Edwin threw a quick glance at Alena, and trying to hide a grin, he said, "Yes, these threatening walls."
--
"Come, child. We really must be hurrying if we intend to find Linnet," Maud beckoned Gwen.
--
Linnet thanked the falconer, then, tying Marigold to her wrist, set out to find a good hawking spot. The falconer tried to follow Linnet. "Oh, thank you, no, good sir, but I will be just find alone." The falconer gave her a suspicious look, then returned to his duties.

Alena glanced at the walls. "Yes, quiet threatening army they?"
-------
Gwen quickly followers Maud back towards the garden. Finally, she saw her friend peeking out from around the corner of one of the walls. "Linnet! Linnet there you are." She hurried over to the corner.

The falconer of Edinburgh finished readying Saxum, the large peregrine falcon, and Silva, a Merlin. Edwin took his hawk and tied it to his wrist. The falconer held out Silva for Alena.
--
(Linnet left the gardens a while ago. She's out by the mews now. :))
Maud sighed. "Where is that girl?" She asked herself as she discovered Linnet was not in the gardens.
--
Linnet talked softly to her bird as she searched for a good spot to fly her bird. She remembered that there was a lovely place for hawking--but it was nearly on the Edinburgh's land. 'Oh well,' she thought to herself. 'I might as well get aquatinted with them now, rather than later'. She quickened her pace.

Alena nervously took the bird. "Umm. Shat am I supposed to do?"
----
Gwen turned the corner. "Linn-" A girl she hadn't seen turned to her. "Oh. I'm sorry. I thought you were someone else."

Edwin tied the hooded bird to Alena's wrist. "I'll show you. Come, I know a good spot for hawking." He led her away from the mews. "You can come too, Peter," he said over his shoulder.
--
Maud stifled a laugh. "We can just walk, or go search for Linnet. Whatever your highness wishes," she said to Gwen.
--
Linnet neared the spot she had in mind. She lifted up her heavy skirts to climb a hill. Marigold sat patiently on her wrist, making a few cooing noises occasionally.
