Edmund chuckled, but didn't reply. He slowed his exhausted horse. "We should be there soon. We, and our horses, surely have worked enough today," he said instead."Why are you laughing?!" Gwen asked. Edmund held up his hand and stopped. "Did you hear that?" He whisperedGwen sighed in relief. "Oh good. I'm not complaining, but this rode has been very tiresome."

Katrina thrust the basket into Gavin's hands, then skipped down to the edge of a stream where several bushes were. "Gavin, you've lived in the woods near all yer life. Do these look edible to ye?" She asked"Very well then" Gavin smiled.
