*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Edwin was too busy wallowing in self-pity to notice Alena had left him.

Linnet decided to go calm herself down by a walk in her garden. She looked out the window of her bedroom to see if it looked like rain. "It'll hold off for a while, no need for my cloak," she thought as she slipped her walking shoes on. She checked to make sure no one was watching, then hurried out of her bedroom door.

Linnet hurried down the stairwell and through the hallways. She had changed her kirtle for a dark wool one, so she wouldn't stand out as much.

Richard lay under a tree, his eyes closed.

Edwin went up to his bed chamber to write some letters

Fawn slowly sat up, her vision was still a little hazy from where she had been asleep for so long. She yawned, streching her arms up. She checked that all of her gear was still there. Indeed it was. As she went to stand up, a firm hand grasped her own. Fawn flicked her head up, a scowl on her face. That became a big mistake as she sent herself and the boy tumbling to the ground. She yelped a little as her face collided with the mostly grassy ground. The boy quickly scurried to Fawn's side, he rolled her over and placed his hand softly on her cheek. Fawn snapped awake, pushing herself away from the boy. After cursing at the boy, she finally realised who he was.
"Hello Fent," she said, wiping a bit of blood from her nose. "Why did you try to brake my face?"
"Brake your face?" Fent chuckled. "I'd never do that."
Fawn was confused, she shook it off. Then, she wiped more blood from her nose. Fent knelt down beside her and handed her a small handkerchief. Fawn nodded as a way of saying thanks, she took the hanky and pushed it against her nose. Fent held his hand out for Fawn, he laughed a little, his cheeks lighty tinting pink. "I won't drop you this time."
Fawn grinned a little, then took his hand and pulled herself up. Her vision had cleared quite a bit and she was no longer dizzy. Her balance was a bit off, but she wasn't concerned. Fent held onto Fawn's arm, making sure she didn't fall.
"You don't have to help me," Fawn said, avoiding his eyes. "I'm perfectly capable."
"I know," Fent smiled. "But, it was my fault that you got hurt."
Fawn sighed, then smiled at Fent. There was no way she could convince him not to help. That's just how he was. She let him lead her to the castle, then into the kitchen. "Sit here," Fent said, pulling out a chair for Fawn. "I'm going to get you a couple of things for that." He pointed at her bloody nose. Fawn frowned, then nodded. Fent smiled and rushed off, leaving Fawn in the quiet safety of the kitchen.

After being abandoned by Peter, Redd had gone back to reading his book in the tree. After an hour, he finished the book. He carefully closed it and held onto it tightly, then jumped from the tree. He landed quietly on his feet. After a quick glance around himself, he made his way towards the Edinburgh castle. He hummed as he walked. Soon, he found himself singing. "As the creeping darkness takes it's toll, I set my mind into an eager stroll~ The tears that try and wake me, aren't the ones that try and make me~ I live in my own eternal darkness, I know this~" He paused, glancing around once more. He felt like he was being watched. A thin smiled crept across his face, he knew he could finally have some fun. He changed his direction slightly, this time he was heading towards the stables.

After a few minutes, Fent returned the kitchen. He walked over to Fawn, his arms full of different things. Fawn screwed her face up. "What's all this for?" She asked, leaning forward to get a better look. Fent placed the items on a table close by, then smiled. "They're for you, for your face."
"Oh," Fawn smiled. She watched as Fent picked up a new handkerchief. He passed to Fawn and she gently took it. She swapped the dirty for the clean, then continued to watch Fent. Fent jumbled things around, then passed a few different things to Fawn. Fawn laughed a little. "Fent, it was a nice thought, but I don't need all of this."
Fent smiled. "Are you sure that you'll be alright?"
Fawn nodded. She stood up and tested her balance. Everything seemed fine. Even her nose had stopped bleeding. She smiled brightly at Fent, then turned to leave. Fent caught her wrist, then turned her to face him. He looked into her beautiful green eyes as she looked into his bright blue eyes. His cheeks flushed pink. "If you need me, just call. Alright?"
Fawn nodded again. "Alright."

Redd slipped into one of the stables, he glanced outside. The mysterious person was still following him, he grinned deviously. He waited for the person to approach before pulling them into the stables and slamming them against the wall. He pulled down the cloak hood, only to reveal a young redhead. "P-Please. Don't hurt me." She stuttered out a few words. Redd sighed, before releasing the redhead from his grip. "Why were you following me?" He asked gruffly.
"I wasn't," the redhead said with a shakey voice.
Redd leaned in close, a thin smirk spread across his face. "You'd better not be lying. I really don't like lies."
The redhead was quiet. Redd turned around and left the stables. "Follow me again and you won't wake up," he chuckled tauntingly. The redhead ran off, she didn't want to take a chance. Redd whistled as he walked towards the castle. He stopped, glancing over at the Alnwick castle that stood in the distance. He flashed a sly grin, he had an idea.

Fawn turned to leave once more. Fent let go of her wrist, watching her leave. He felt the flush of his cheeks, he sighed. He began to pack the unused items away. How can she not know how I feel about her? He sighed, glancing back at Fawn. Fawn walked out of the kitchen, she intended to return to the garden. She sat beneath a tree and closed her eyes. Stupid Fent. Thank you.. She drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

Redd collected a few supplies before setting off. He only had one destination on his mind; Alnwick. Might as well check them out before I get my hands dirty.. He smirked as he began walking.
Soon, he reached the enemy castle. He crept inside and began looking around the gardens. He was cautious of the guards, making sure they didn't see him. He noticed a young woman sitting under a tree, slowly he walked over to her. He brushed his hand over her sleeping face and through her black hair. Cute. He climbed into the tree above and opened a new book that he had brought along. It was called Dast: The Haunting. After a few minutes, Fawn groaned. She sat up and checked her nose, thankfully it hadn't bled anymore. Redd looked down at Fawn. "Morning," he grinned. Fawn looked up, locking eyes with Redd. She tried to scream for Fent, but Redd jumped down and cupped her mouth, muffling her scream. "Sorry, but I can't let you do that." He chuckled. "Now, I'm going to let you speak. You will answer my questions, truthfully, then I'll let you go. Understand?"
Fawn nodded. Redd uncupped Fawn's mouth, watching her with eaeager eyes. "First question: Who are you?"
"Fawn," she replied hesitantly.
"Good, you're being honest." Redd grinned. "Question two: Where's the Princess?"
"I don't know."
Redd leaned in close, checking Fawn's eyes for deception. He smirked, knowing that she had told the truth. "Well, well. I thought you might try to lie, but I was mistaken. Well done."
Fawn growled a little, she was annoyed by Redd. "My turn. Who are you?"
Redd raised an eyebrow, a grin slapped across his face. "I didn't see that coming," He chuckled.
Fawn stared at Redd. Redd looked down at Fawn, his lips twisted into a small smile. "What's wrong? You see something you like?"
"Answer the question," Fawn said sternly.
"Redd," he answered. Fawn stared at him, then sighed. "What are you doing here?"
"That is none of your concern," he said. His smiled disappeared, sending fear through Fawn. She held tightly onto the handle of a small dagger she had aquired a while ago. "Oh, beautiful, do you really think that you'll be able to hurt me?" He chuckled. Fawn smirked, obviously he had misjudged her as a weak, nimble thing. Oh how wrong he was. However, one thing did get to her, the fact that he had called her beautiful. She slowly began to turn red. Redd laughed at Fawn's little, red face. He leaned forward and quickly kissed her on the forehead. "See you around," he called as he walked away, grinning to himself. Fawn was soon bright red. Eejit. She thought, watching him dissappear. She sat back down, near the base of the tree and sighed heavily. Her sleeping habits almost got her killed by the enemy. She glanced over to her right, a book had been left behind. Slowly, she picked it up, she then glanced over to the last place she had seen Redd. He must have dropped it... She put it in her bag, then rubbed her forehead. Maybe I should take it to him. Surely he'd appreciate the gestu- Her thoughts were interrupted by Fent shouting her name. Fawn got up and raced over to him.
