Edmund glared at the girth. Cut. "Someone cut the girth yesterday, hence our accident," he said.Gwen dragged the pack back out to the horse, and strapped it on the back. They had wasted almost an entire day looking for it, and another hour trying to catch it.
edmund shrugged. "I doubt our "kind" hostess would do it."Gwen sighed. "This is going to be so much harder. Who would do that?'
Fent looked up from his oatmeal. "Mornin'."
Edmund secured the bridle around the horse's head. "Well, whoever it was, it doesn't matter now. We need to be going," he said.Gwen shook her head. "It was not Fent. I assure you that."
Fent frowned. "But it is so early."
Edmund frowned, considering how they were to go about this. "Bareback is the best possibility, then my squire can fetch the saddle and give Fent the money at the same time. We'd only go bareback till we get to Emilee's place, where we will collect your horse.""Bareback?!" Gwen was horrified at the idea.
Fent shrugged. "I didnt like them anyway."
