*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Tears once again pricked Gwen's eyes. She quickly bat them back. "It is fine if you do not wish to help me the rest of the way." She said coldly. "I can find my way myself."

"Are you alright?" Fent asked, seeing the tears. He never knew what to do with strong emotions.
Edmund sighed. He slowed his horse to match Gwen's horse's stride. "I want to help. We've come this far, and I'm not a quitter," he said.
----
Emilee nodded. "I'm fine," she gave the pot one last hearty stir then went outside

"It sure seems like it." Gwen mumbled. "Why did you even bring me in the first place? I don't understand."

Fent walked got up and walked around the room. The were several drawing of a large round man. That must be her father. He thought.

"Because my job is to help and protect royal family," Edmund replied.
---
:)lau that made me laugh)
After a breath of fresh air, Emilee returned to the cottage with more firewood. "Is there no special lady in your life?" She asked Fent after a long silence
---
Fawn handed her horse's reins to a squire and went around to the door.

Gwen shook her head. "Not anymore."

Fent laughed flatly. "I did. But that has passed. She didn't care anyway."
Edmund didn't say anything for a while. Finally, after a long silencer, he said, "Princess, my job as a knight has, and always will be, to protect and do my best for the kingdom," he said solemnly. "That's why I am here, with you, going to meet someone. I can tell you there are things I would rather be doing."
----
Emilee slipped a log under the boiling pot. "What was her name?" She asked quietly.
-
(Madam, Grymyore, Essence, Beaky, where art thou?)

"Than go do them!" Gwen spat. "You are no longer a knight. Do whatever it is you wanted to do. Just go!"

Fent shrugged. "It doesn't matter anymore."

Edmund was taken aback at Gwen's harsh words. He hated arguing, especially with women. "Very well then," he replied curtly. He turned his horse around, nearly slipping off because he had no saddle.
----
"I do hope nothing tragic happened," Emilee said
---
Fawn thanked the servant and exited the castle, heading for the small stables.

Gwen sighed and slumped against a tree. That probably wasn't the wisest thing. Maybe she should just go home.
Edmund didn't really intend to leave the princess by herself in the wilderness. She'd never survive and he'd be killed by the queen for leaving her nearly daughter in law in the wild.
---
Emilee set out two bowls on the table. "What do you do for Alnwick castle, exactly?" She asked
---
Linnet slipped on a pair of blue slippers and exited her room.

Maud knocked on Adrienne's door.
---
Fawn tucked an item into the saddlebags, then gracefully herself up onto her horse

Gwen once again wiped the years off her cheeks. She got up and dusted herself off. Not knowing what Edmund had meant, or who they were supposed to meet, she decided to return to Alnwick. At least Alex will be there. She thought.

"I'm an assassin." Fent replied. "Its classified."
