*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Maud hesitated at Adrienne's door. She entered slowly. "Princess, in afraid your surprise will have to be put on hold," she said sorrowfully.
---
Anna smiled at the young man. "Might I ask how you two met?" She asked. Katrina looked to Gavin
---
Emilee went through a thing curtain into the other room.
Adrienne's face fell "Okay" She said sadly, then perked back up "Is it a good surprise?"
---
Gavin looked at Katrina nervously "I...uh...er...stumbled across a...uh...cabin" He stuttered.

"Always such a child." Peter said sighing sarcastically. He quickly galloped after Edwin.

Alena shrugged. "An uncle. If he is still alive that is. Why do you wonder. If you don't mind me asked, that is."

"Yes, very," Maud replied.
--
Katrina frowned, but decided to play along. "Yeah, I was er uh having trouble and voila! This kind young man showed up and he helped me carry some uh firewood," she knew she was digging a deep hole for herself. Anna simply smiled and nodded.
--
Mariah waved her hand. "No matter. Be gone," she said

Alena sighed and picked up her tray. "Good day Your Highness."

Peter wasn't the first one to the paddock, but he was still the winner. While Edwin would be speaking to the king, Peter would be speaking with Linnet.

Mariah ignored the girl and began nibbling on a cookie. She tried to remember of how Alena had come to be a maid at the castle

Edmund sighed. He slowed his horse, wishing to delay the meeting as long as possible.
---
:)lol: Ah Peter. So dedicated. :p)

Edwin grinned triumphantly. "You snooze you lose!" He teased (and thus that expression was born and would be used over and over for centuries)

Linnet peeked through a hole in the wall to see if Peter was there. He hadn't even told her he was coming, she just had a feeling
---
John banged around the small house a while before finally tripping over a chair in the dark.

Alena was worried. What was the queen going to do with her? Send her away? She had to talk to Edwin, wherever he was.

Peter rolled his eyes. "You're such a child."

Gavin hoped Anna wouldn't question them further. He didn't want to get into the whole climb in the window draw a knife on the princess bit "Yep. And things went from there" Gavin agreed.
---
"Can you give me a hint?" Adrienne asked hopefully

Mariah tapped her fingers against the mahogany arm rest. She finished her tea but continued to sit there thinking.
Edmund rode into the courtyard. He sat there on his horse for a few minutes, trying to figure out how this was going to play out and what it would mean for him.
---
Edwin ignored Peter, as he often did, and handed his horse's reins to a stable lad. "Where might I find Sir Ricbard?" He asked. "He be over there," the boy pointed to the jousting ring.
Maud smiled mischievously. "Hm. Something–or rather someone, you've been waiting for," she said.
---
Katrina chuckled nervously. Anna didn't press further. "Well, come in. You two must be hungry," she beckoned them into the house. The thatch roofed cottage was cozy and smelled of fresh herbs. There were herbs hung all over the walls and a shelves filled with little bottles and jars of things. A white cat sat on a grass filled mattress in the corner.

"Gwen?" Adrienne asked hopefully.

Gavin followed Anna and Katrina into the house. He stroked the cat and waited awkwardly to be told what to do.

Maud, who was absolutely terrible with surprises and who couldn't resist Adrienne's sweet little face, smiled and nodded her head. "Yes, your sister has returned!" She said cheerfully
---
Anna pointed to a basket on a shelf. "Katrina, dear, grab three potatoes from that basket and set them in the ashes to cook," she instructed. Katrina obeyed. "Gavin, if ye will, grab a handful of twigs from the bucket outside, please," she said.
