*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

The color drained from Linnet's face. She had realized the king would of course have foot soldiers and calvarymen, by the thought had never crossed her mind that he would have assassins. "Oh" was all she said.

Maud tried to think of something so she could come in now. She knew there was another person in the room. "Oh, well, you see, the laundress needs to wash linens now, and she is waiting on this basket," she said, indicating the nearly full basket.

" I don't mind you asking. its just my brother and the Alnwicks princess. Its annoying and i try to help my brother, but he is rather rude to me." Lariah said. She took a step forward, then faltered because of her ankle, and she got help from her horse.

"Are you okay?" Fent asked, noticing the sudden drain of colour. He stepped forward, looking at Linnet.

"I see," Fawn laughed. "Well, hang on whilst I remove the items from my bed." Fawn lied, there was nothing on the bed, but Maud didn't know that. She began to shut the door, so she could make Redd leave.

"Yes, I'm fine. I just didn't--the thought, um, it never crossed my mind that the king would have assassins. I suppose that means that Edinburgh has them too," Linnet said worriedly.

Maud sighed. 'What could she do to get in there? She was sure that young girl was in trouble. After all, she knew she heard 'slit your throat' and 'kill' in the conversation'. She sighed again, this time with impatience.

" I just had an accident a few hours ago. Lets just say i collided with another persons horse." Lariah said as she maintained her balance again without falling.

" Nice horse." Lariah said and she smiled.

He smiled. "Thanks, I bought him as a foal 3 years ago. Sometimes, hes what keeps me sane. Have you had anybody look at your ankle yet?"

Edwin groaned. How he hated the idea to marry some unknown princess! She was practically a stranger! He could always take Alena's advice, and take a walk with Gwen. Oh Alena. Bless the girl. Always there if he needed something, wether it be advice or a scone. If he knew one thing for sure, Alena would defiantly make a better sister than Lariah! (Oooh the truth comes out! XD)
