*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

"In training." Alfric quickly added. "So, you're some kind of maid, huh?" He asked, fiddling with a jar of dust sitting on the table.

(Thanks. I'll wait and see if she comes back :))

"There's a rather large difference between 'knight' and 'knight-in-training'," Fawn said with humor. "And no, I am not a maid. Maids don't come to fancy balls."

"A year or two. Not much." Even as he said it he knew it wasn't true. A year or two was everything, the difference between a boy and a man. He sighed again and rubbed his shoulder. "So then who does?"

"Apparently knights in training do," Fawn smirked, though, her back still to him he couldn't of seen it. She set the rag down on the edge of the bowl and looked for the salve. "Can you hand me that?" She asked.

Afric picked up the jar and handed it to Fawn, screwing up his face in disgust. Not a maid.. Not a royal... Then who? "So..." He started. "Other than knights.. In training - who else would come?"

Fawn took the jar and opened, then carefully slathered a blob (<what a gross word) over her shoulder before answering. "People who have been invited come," she said.

(Glob is even better)

Alfric sighed "I'm too tired for games." He snapped, slumping into the chair Edmund had first sat in.

Fawn glanced over at him. She was hesitant to say anything more in case he used it to pry into her own history, but she was eager to know more about him. She closed the bottle of salve and returned it to the cabinet, then sat down on the table to wait for Edmund.
