Gwen refused Maud's help, and got herself ready, but she couldn't sleep. "I've never been in an argument with Linnet. Well not for this long at least."
 
Linnet heard Gwen go in her room. Linnet considered going to her, but decided against it. Instead she went and got in bed. Weary from the busy day, she soon fell asleep with one thought–or rather person–on her mind. A grin lit her face.

Linnet awoke to birds singing outside her window. There was a fire in the fireplace already. She quickly hopped out of bed when she realized how late it was in the morning. And Maud hadn't even woken her! She put the same gown she had worn to supper on, but used a gold satin sash instead of a belt.

Richard awoke. His back was sore from his previous full day in the saddle.

Gwen had been up for what seemed like forever. She wasn't sure if she should go down to breakfast, or remain in her room and have a servant bring in her tray. Finally she decided to risk a run in with Linnet, and go get breakfast. When she walked past linnets door, and quietly began to walk faster.
