*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

"Trying to find father, but if that fails we can go find some guards or something," Edwin said. He opened yet another door that led into a long corridor. "This way," he said, holding the door open for Jane. She smiled gratefully and went through. Once again, he released the door

Mariah hummed to herself as she entered the hallway that led to the courtyard.

Katrina set the heavy bucket down as went to wash off her hsnds

"Oh. That's unfortunate," Richard replied. He looked at the ground, unsure what else to say.

Maud entered Gwen's rooms. "Your highness, so you need anything?" She asked
--
Linnet had nothing else to do after unloading her belongings, so she reclined on the bed with a book.

Edmund finished the papers he had. He set them in a drawer in a neat stack
--
Mariah entered the great hall. Tables were set out and servants were scurrying around lighting candles and fires and such
---

Gwen looked up from her papers. "Yes. Could you send me Lady Linnet?"

Clifton stamped disgustedly. He crossed his arms, opened the door with his foot, and stomped in.
---
"You took the valuables" Cedric recounted "It's quite clear you left because you robbed me. Teach a kid to steal and what does he do? Leaves you alone in a hut in the woods. No food, no money, nothing to sell to get food or money" He glared at Gavin.
Gavin stepped back, eyeing Cedric's dagger "Sorry" He managed to stammer "I didn't realize that..."
"What?" Cedric backed him against the orchard wall "That I would fight back? There's not enough valuable things in this kingdom for two of us" He pinned Gavin against the wall with one hand, held his dagger in the other, and thrust it into the lower left of Gavin's stomach.
Gavin bit back a scream and tried to shove Cedric away.
"Goodbye" Cedric sneered "I'll see you later, if anyone cares enough to help a common thief. Good luck with that"
Credric pulled back and hastily scaled the wall, up through a palace window.
Gavin slowly slid down the wall to the ground. He breathed hard and put his hand to his stomach.

"Oh. My lady, did you not read the letter?" Maud asked

"If you were banned, then why are you here?" Richard asked
---
Jane stopped to look out a window. Reluctantly, Edwin stopped and waited for the two.

Mariah gasped and squealed when she saw the bleeding man laying in her courtyard. She ran over to him, concerned for once. "Sir! Are you okay?" She asked, tho he obviously wasnt

Clifton was disgusted, as usual.
---
Cedric picked up a trinket from a table and stuffed it in his pocket.
---
Gavin groaned and looked up at the strange woman "Yeah" He managed. Why did he say that? Did he seriously want to chide a stranger when his life was in peril? "No" He finally coughed "Not really"

"Come on, you two," Edwin said, trying to hurry the party along. Jane left the window and followed him
---
Katrina spun around when she heard a glass crash to the ground. She froze when she saw the (very creepy) man with a sack

Mariah looked around for someone to help. She of course didn't wish to get her gown dirty, and right before a feast. "Someone! Help!" She called weakly

He pointed his rather nasty dagger at her "got any valuables?" Cedric asked.
---
Cliffton ran after Edwin.
---
Gavin tried to sit up, but screamed weakly and gave up.

Katrina shrieked. Dropping the bucket, she turned to leave but stopped when she heard another scream.
---
Edwin stopped in the doorway of he great hall. He peeked around the corner. No Mariah. "Come, Father ought to be in here somewhere," he told the two
--
(The suspense)

Gwen looked at Maud. "What letter?"

Alena wiped the sweat from her brow, it was hotter the closer to the boilers you were. She continued to sew long lines of stitches into the seam of a silkie grey dress.

Elaina walked down the halls of Alnwick. The castle could be rather lonely.

Alex was with Richard?

Katrina shrieked. Dropping the bucket, she turned to leave but stopped when she heard another scream.

"Just someone tripping on a rock" Cedric sneered.
---
Somewhere. That always seemed to be the location of the King. Cliffton sighed.
---
Gavin's mind wasn't working right, but one thing was clear to him. Cedric had a knife and was in the castle. Katrina's castle? He wasn't sure. "Where is Katrina?" He slurredly asked the queen. She probably wouldn't know, but he had to try.
