*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Lariah couldn't contain her snort as the man sat on part of the gazebo and fell. She covered her mouth and leaned back, only to rustle large roe leaves and cause a fat drip of water splash on her head and dress.
Edmund sat up slowly, examining himself as he did so. "Ow. Ow ow ow ow," he muttered as he attempted to stand up. His back was incredibly sore and his elbows were probably bruised. Nothing was broken except maybe his pride, when he realized someone was nearby. "Hello?" He asked, still sitting amongst the splintered wood.

She froze as she heard the person say hello. She couldn't contain herself from giggling. She took a step forward.
" I guess there is no point in concealing myself anymore?"

Edmund could of lived with himself if it was merely the gardener. But his pride was entirely shattered as Lariah emerged from behind a bush. "Oh. Hi," he said. Pride would have to be forgotten. "Um, could you give me a hand, miss?" He asked. He had made quite the imprint in the broken wood, and was rather stuck.

Lariah pushed down another smirk as she walked over to Edmund. He now had wounded pride. She held out her hand.

Edmund gripped her delicate princess hand and managed to get himself up. "Well. I guess I'll have to tell the king I'm sorry I broke his gazebo. And I guess I owe him money and/or a favor. Tell me, miss, do you know where I would find the king?" He asked, completely oblivious to the fact he was talking, and holding hands still, with the princess. He winced as a sharp pain went up his back.

(Gotta love Edmund  )

(haha)

Lariah slightly narrowed her eyes and gently lifted her hand away. " I'll tell him. You don't look like a person who likes to waste their time." She said this in a humble voice. This man looked familiar.

"No, not really. Unless I'm wasting it in pretty company," he teased, but immediately regretted it. Now was no time for teasing anyone. He needed to get something on his back and something to ease the pain as soon as possible. "How impolite of me. I really ought to introduce myself, hadn't I?" He grinned awkwardly, ignoring the shooting pain.

Lariah let thecomment pass. She let out a breath and looked at him. " We can talk on the way. Follow me." She said as she started to the forked path that lead to the healer( or whatever they had in medieval times ).

Edmund shrugged. "I'm Sir Edmund, or the great kingdom of Alnwick," he introduced himself, wether she cared or not. "And you are, miss?"
