*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Linnet, feeling dizzy and weak, ascended the stairs with the help of Fawn. Maud was still downstairs fetching some tea and soup.
Fawn helped Linnet to her room, then hurried out before the maid returned.
--------
Redd pushed his plate away when he had finished. The chatter had died down when a few laundry maids had entered the kitchen. Scowling, Redd stood and slipped out a back door.
Katrina scanned the room for any unattended tray of food she could sneak for Gavin. Seeing a pan of biscuits, she slipped a few into her apron pocket and then went about the room as causal as possible.

;Anna, Emilee, Redd, Fawn, Edmund, Richard open)
----------
Mariah waited impatiently in her room for the servant to return. He still hadn't found Peter or Jane, and he had been searching for nearly an hour. No one seemed to know where either was.
-------
(Bumping this. Not sure if anyone saw it. Lsky, the paragraph wth Redd is at Edinburgh, as is the last paragraph)

Alfric is outside in the courtyard, the rain is coming down hard and he's soaked through. His hair is matted and stuck to his face in loose curls. He pushes it from his eyes and takes a deep breath, it took all the strength he had just to stay standing up. He had to be stronger. He wasn't a little kid anymore. He was going to be one of the kings knights, and knights don't have time for petty feelings. They're quick, and efficient, and they're good at what they do. He shrugs his shoulders back and lifts his sword again, swinging it from side to side. He focuses on the dummy and aims his blade, bringing it down hard onto the helmet. There's a loud clang as the metal collides, it echoes through the courtyard. He grits his teeth and swings again, losing his footing he stumbles forward onto the grass. His head hits the ground hard and he grunts, loosening the grip on his swords handle. He tries to open his eyes but they keep falling shut, the world around him is spinning, the cold rain running down his face. His heart is still thumping in his ears, and his breath is short and ragged. They eventually slow as his body relaxes. He closes his eyes again, and this time, they stay shut.

Jane rode alongside Cliffton, looking down to check on his leg occasionally. Edwin rode several feet behind, annoyed that their ride was to be cut short.

Cliffton complained about life in general as they rode toward the castle, making sure everyone knew that they were expected to pity him and all of his misfortunes.
---
Gavin stared through the small Hole in the wall, waiting impatiently for it to get dark.

Redd stepped under an overhang, trying to avoid the rain but not succeeding much. He stayed against the wall, hidden by shadows, and made his way gradually to the courtyard.

Edwin stuck a finger in his ear, frustrated that he had to use one hand still for riding, thus not being able to plug both ears.
Jane laughed at Edwin as she sped past him, her hair flying loose behind. Riding in the rain with royalty definitely beat sitting in the dreary castle.
------
Katrina went about the remainder of her chores
