"Well, I suppose he'll keep on allowing me to be his advisor since I've caused no problems, and so far nobody else seems interested in the job." She shrugged.
Richard nodded in acknowledgment of her reply. "Sounds like a job many people would be begging for," he stated. "Advisor of the king seems about as high as one can among the royals," he scoffed.

Redd went over to the fire and poked at it with the poker, the result being an immediate burst of red and orange flames, as well as several sparks that scattered throughout the room. He returned the poker to its hook and began examining the items on the mantel. "Huh."
He looked at a small hand painted image of a young girl with dark brown hair and green eyes who looked to be about six or seven. Beside the framed image sat a random conch shell. He turned from the items and went to the other door in the room. As he did so, he caught sight of a thin figure laid out on the velvet sofa. The sight caught him off guard and he startled, jumping slightly, despite his fancy smancy training in the art of assassins and all things related, like not being caught off guard.
 
Alfric heard someone moving close to him and lifted his head up to look. It was all still quite blurry but he was sure he could make out a figure.
"I was just resting." He sighed.

Redd quickly regained his serious and knowing stature. "Oh. Resting," he said. "Well, I'll let you get back to that. I was just lost. Can you direct me to the main hall?" He asked.
 
Alfric steadied himself against the arm rest and sighed.
"Hmmm, I think it was that way." He gestured towards the door and then paused, screwing up his face. "No... actually. Maybe you could show me the way. You're a guard after all, right?"
