*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Alfric squirmed awkwardly, his clothing had now become extremely uncomfortable and was beginning to chafe (Right spelling?) - This conversation with Redd certainly hadn't done anything to help. He glanced around him again, there was a third door on the far end of the room, tucked in the corner behind a table.
"What's keeping you?" He asked, turning slowly back to face Redd.

"Only the fact that you're blocking my way," Redd replied with a smirk.

(Yes, grandma. That's the correct spelling)

(Thank you.)
Alfric moved quickly to the side and made room for Redd. He cocked his head towards the door and crossed his arms. "It's all clear."

"Good. Now, how about we return to the crowd," Redd suggested. When he opened the door, light from the Great Hall flooded into the hall they were in. Dancing was in full swing, thankfully, so they could easily slip in unnoticed.

Alfric eyed the door on the far side of the room again, and then turned to Redd.
"You go ahead, I think I left a coat in here somewhere." He said slowly.

Redd looked at Alfric. He wasn't about to believe this kid and his thin lie. "Don't think I would hesitate to report you to Sir Edmund. Or better yet, the queen," he said as he stepped into the Great Hall.

Alfric reached forward and caught Redd by the arm. "No." He hushed, looking around the hall suspiciously. "I need.." He sighed and pulled his hands back. "That door leads to the guard barracks, I'm sure of it. I just want some drier clothes. Don't do anything stupid, okay?"

"'Don't do anything stupid?' Like stealing clothes for you, right?" Redd scoffed. "The nerve," he muttered as he yanked his arm away and turned to leave.

Alfric chewed his lip anxiously. "Borrow." He corrected, catching up with Redd. "Just don't tell anyone, and there's no problem." He added, sheltering his eyes from the brightness of the hall.
