*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

(My biscuits might last, but I'm not sure how well your kimchi would handle shipping )

"Maybe..." Alfric replied, struggling back through the doorway. He lifted his arm and let the fabric fall to the floor, then dropped his candle down beside it. He quickly dusted the tops of shoulders, then crouched down to regather the cloth, letting it unfold in front of him. A long black robe opened up between them, its lower trimming brushing him just above the knee. The sleeves were elbow length, folded up at the edges and sewn with golden thread, matching the golden dear which stood proud upon the front. The shoulders were slim, crawling with golden vines which fell down the back like a waterfall.

"Yes, what about it?" Fawn asked, sounded disinterested, though she really was eager to examine it.

(Its fermented. It'll be fine. But your biscuits will probably crack during shipping)

(*gasp* my biscuits would not crack.)

"Try it on." Alfric said, scrunching it up and holding it out to Fawn.
"You'll be far more comfortable and agile in this than you will in that dress."

"Oh." Fawn pulled out a side of the elegant robe to see if it had any holes or tears. "Wait. You're not suggesting that I take off this--," she pointed to her own dirtied gown, "and put this, that doesn't belong to either of us, on?" She asked with surprise. The thought of rummaging through Edmund's family's possessions and then using something without permission more than a little bothered her.

"You're only borrowing if." He reassured her, "It was just left there to rot, how much could they really have cared about it? I'm sure no one will notice."

Alfric exhaled and closed his eyes.
"Please, just do it." He begged. He lent back slightly so that the wall behind him could take his weight.

"Just go find somebody," Fawn said. "Or we can try to push this open more."

Redd glanced around to make sure no one was watching him, then cautiously and quietly opened the heavy library door. He cracked the door behind him then went slowly around the room, picking up random books that were lying about and flipping through them. But the books couldn't offer him the information he wanted. That would be found somewhere in the large desk at the end of the room.

Alfric let go of the robe and picked up the candle again. He held it up to Fawn, "Find somebody? It was a storeroom. I don't know this place like you do. "

"It's a storeroom in the cellar," Fawn paused to think. "Cellar of the kitchen, maybe," she added. "So, theoretically, you should be able to easily access the kitchen from here."
