The Wabbit thread!!!! Anything about rabbits

So. . .We rescued a doe not to long ago from the clinic and right when we put her in the cage the next day she pulls a big thing of fur. She was found on the road and was in the clinic for 2 weeks until we got her. I had to clean her cage and pulled the hair out and everything else then placed it all back in in the original place. The next day I find all the hair layered in hay. Is this ok for the nest and how far along may she be?

I would be prepared for kits anytime, but there's no hard and fast indication. One of my does didn't pull fur until hours before kindling--i never saw her do it, but there was plenty when I woke next morn. The other pulled fur four days ahead of kindling, for a couple days. But overall didn't pull enough.

Is this normal?

Sorry I meant "buried" we didn't think she was going to make a nest so she build one in the corner of the dog cage we have her in until her other cage gets heer

I would put a box in so the kits don't come out of the nest. The mom won't put them back if they come out.

Thank you! And is it ok that the nest is a bit barrier under hay?
I would ideally give her a nest box and move whatever nest she built into the nest box. Otherwise, if/when she has kits, they could crawl away and get chilled. It is pretty normal for the doe to mix the fur into hay, accidentally or purposefully. When she has babies, she'll probably pull more fur and put it on top of the kits.

I understand, she lives in the house so it's too cold but I tried giving her a nest box and moved the fur but she ignored it an pulled it all back in the corner where it is now
