Luke, following Kiki, asked: “I didn’t really get to meet her, was she nice?”

”Yeah, she was.” Kiko said wistfully. “Maybe we should go back sometime so you can get to know her better.”

“That would be nice” Luke said. “Are we going back to the tree hollow?”

Dawn's throat was dry from crying and from thirst. She wiped her face off with her furry paws. She climbed out of her hollow and onto a thick branch. She decided that she was going to go to the lake and drink out of it. She jumped off of her branch and started to sprint to the lake.

“That would be nice” Luke said. “Are we going back to the tree hollow?”

Kiko snapped out of his romanticisms. “Yeah. Yeah we are.” Kiko said and actually started off in the right direction this time.

“Uh no, I was accidentally going the wrong direction.” Kiko said embarrassedly. Luke looked at him oddly. Kiko NEVER got disoriented.

“It’s been a long day, Luke.” Kiko sighed wearily. ”I need some sleep.” He curled up on a pile of cedar bark shavings inside the hollow tree, yawned, and went to sleep.
