“Can you explain to me exactly what happened from your perspective?” asked the Eagle.

"Well, I woke up an I wasn't hungry for berries or fruits like I usually am, I was hungry for blood. Anyway I stopped myself quickly. I'm a fruitbat. I drink fruit. Not blood. but suddenly I couldn't feel my brain and I just knew that I needed to drink it to survive. and I don't remember anything after that, only stopping in the air and realizing that there was that Pine Marten Kiko on my back. and so I got him off of my back and flew away. Humiliated and miserable."
Crescent sighed again.
