"I guess so." She smiled. She jumped towards the slide and slid down at, laughing the whole way. When she finished sliding down it, she bumped into Kiko by accident.

“Whoa there!” He laughed, falling over on his back. “A little hot on the the landing!”

“It will wear off in time as they get to know you better.” He said reassuringly. ”I have to leave now. Just remember, if you ever need me, I’ll be there.” Aquila took off from the lake and headed north.

Crescent thanked him politely. She flew up to where she had pearched the night before and suddenly she heard the voices of the mammals. They were sliding down the slope near her tree. She tried to pull her head in and hope they wouldn't notice the giant black 'leaf' on the tree right near them.

Up and down and up again they went, having the time of their lives. Finally, when both were tired and worn out again, Kiko said “let’s go sit down for a bit before we head home.” as he walked towards a log.
