This looks like a great character! However, flying foxes are found only in tropical areas. Perhaps Crescent could be a Big Brown Bat? (Yes that is actually a species lol)

(Well since she just found the place perhaps she was bred in the zoo but she escaped because they were experimenting on her? Just as a maybe. If you really need me too she can be a Big Brown Bat but I was hoping to have a flying fox)
